This project was time-consuming and stressful, but also very rewarding. In the end, I went with a stop-motion animation. My materials were 7.99$ lego set. It included a car and two Lego people, and with that, I had to create a story that the audience could follow and enjoy. Furthermore, I had to record myself for the animation to support the story. However, the most stressful part of this project was the stop motion itself. Stop motion is just hundreds of photos compiled together into frames. I made a small studio in my room. I set my camera on a tripod and I made sure I wasn’t moving it. However, that was going to be impossible because I'm a newbie when it comes to stop motion so the camera moves a little throughout the animation. Something I wish I’d done better is my acting performance. It felt like the silence was too powerful when re-watching it during class. For some reason it felt fine when re-watching it at home, but when it was shown in class. I was not a fan of the “real life” portions of the video.
All in all, I’m happy with how my first-ever 1,900-frame stop-motion animation turned out. It took immense patience that I never knew I had, and although it was stressful I never regretted picking stop motion while working on it. I was committed to creating a great stop motion for people to enjoy because I love it when people are entertained by my work.
