About me
My name is Kevin Uvina, I was born in Boulder, Colorado, and have lived in Colorado for basically my whole life. I’m attending the University of Colorado Boulder majoring in Landscape Architecture. I had a pretty ordinary childhood, but growing up as a Latino in a predominantly white city, I’ve experienced major cultural differences which have their ups and downs. Art has been an important aspect of my life because it lets me express myself in a creative way that everyone can relate to.

Why do I enjoy Art?
Art has been an interest of mine since I was a kid but it has always been a rocky road in my life. I’d go on and off about art. But it wasn’t till high school that I ventured more into digital art. I found digital art far more enticing than other mediums, and it lured me to learn more about it. Therefore I spent time doodling more, sketching more, and trying to get as much practice as I could. I was able to take a couple of classes in high school, but we didn't have a large digital art program. After I left high school, I abandoned digital art. I barely created digital art pieces due to college. I felt as if there was an empty hole in my chest. I wanted to enjoy art again like I did back when I was learning it in high school. Although now, starting in 2024 I want to get back to working on digital art and improve my skills. And shape a new path in my future.
