As I currently think through my various ideas I'd like to create an animation with aftereffects. I want to study it as much as possible with my time, and I create an animation that interacts with reality. At first, I was hoping to do hand-drawn animation but I feel like that would take too much time and overwhelming with the only amount of time I have. Furthermore it might be too challenging for me, since I’ve never used Animate CC.
An idea that came to mind is grabbing live-action shots of me punching a bag. Every time I punch the bag something will occur. Whether it be a flash or ripple, I want to create some effect. Since I’m a person who hates keeping things simple, I want to explore the various functions After Effects has to offer and make an animation that satisfies my expectations.
Alternatively but most unlikely, is a hand-drawn approach. Hand-drawn animation takes a long time to perfect but it is super fun to create. As much as I want to create a hand-drawn animation, the amount of time I’m given makes it hard to accomplish. If I were to create a hand-drawn animation, I would create a tiny portion of hand-drawn animation and include it with my After Effects animation.
I’ve never used After Effects or Animate CC, but I’m interested in what the software has to offer. After our After Effects lab I want to create an animation I’m happy with and build on my Adobe skills.
